After a fire destroyed the apartment building I lived in, one of the many kindnesses I received was a phone call from Kit at Binc asking if I was going to need financial help. She had been alerted to my situation by another bookseller in my town. I did indeed need help replacing a number of fundamental things--a bed, kitchen equipment, furniture, appliances. Binc helped me substantially with the cost of putting my life back together and by doing so helped me deal with the overwhelming stress and worry inherent in such a transition. Thank you, Kit, and thank you, all the folks who contribute to Binc. You are really amazing.
