Not only does this organization help financially, it provides emotional support and encouragement throughout the semester. I have so many positive things to say about this amazing group. Denise Suchy and Candi Acker both have sent me kind words and important advice. I have also received care packages as well. I am a first generation college student. Even though my family loves me and wants me to succeed, sometimes they do not know how to be supportive with my higher education goals. It feels good to know I can turn to Denise or Candi for guidance and help. They want me to succeed!!! Without the scholarship and emotional support, I wouldn't be as close to graduating as I am now. I graduate next year!!! I plan to major in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Addiction Treatment Services. I plan to help my Native people by helping families who have been affected by substance abuse. Helping one person (as this organization has helped me), will have an exponential effect on Native communities. I plan to pay the kindness I received forward. Thank you for believing in me!!!
