Review for Nepal Orphans Home Inc, Davidson, NC, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Back in 2012, I was a senior CSR in a big Israeli company, and took active part in several local projects in my own country. However I had a sense of duty to do something beyond its borders, and Nepal was my choice. NOH was one of quite a few NGOs' sites that I explored, trying to realize my plan to go on a volunteering trip, and it was love on first sight. I was extremely impressed by the so open, yet professional and strict manner I was taken care of. It was from the registration procedure, through Q & A process, welcoming and orientation on the ground, accompanying me to the placement I had chosen, bringing me back safe and sound, and concluded with thorough briefing for comments. From my own professional experience, I knew what it takes to perform such a perfection.
Beyond any of these, I met adorable happy children in the houses of NOH in Kathmandu, devoted staff, and amazing volunteers from countries across the globe. I still keep in touch with directors, staff and grownups children of NOH, and came back for further volunteering, mostly in Kathmandu. I do look up to the wonderful people who run the operations in Nepal, and to the Board members who dedicated themselves to better our wonderful children's lives. I must say that it was great pride for me to bring my own children down there, and to share with them one of my secret sources of optimism, sense of fulfillment and a role model of unconditional love.
I viee NOH as a highly accountable, in regard of using sources of any kind, which encourage donors to invest in NOH's projects as well. Nepal Orphans Home has got my highest trust in all relevant senses.
I have no doubt that I will keep being in touch with NOH and its precious people.
