Review for Center for Independence, Lakewood, WA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I donated to the Center for Independence through Conductive Education - a non-profit organization that serves children with physical disabilities on their journey towards independence. The Center provides services to over 150 children a year, and have *never* turned a child away due to lack of insurance or inability to pay. I know that by donating to this organization, I am helping give back to the community at large. Children with physical disabilities deserve the opportunity to be fully-integrated into the school system and workforce. The Center's commitment to improving the lives of disadvantaged, under-served children with physical disabilities, with the ultimate intention of securing a better life that includes employment and independent living skills is something that I strongly believe in.

Review for Center for Independence, Countryside, IL, USA

Rating: 5 stars

This organization is an amazing representation of helping those that need it most. The Center for Independence makes great strides towards ensuring that children and adults with physical disabilities are independent and self-sufficient. The vocational training program is an amazing opportunity for young adults with Cerebral Palsy to get experience in the workforce through internships, job shadowing, resume review, public transportation experience and college campus tours. It's incredibly useful for these individuals to get this experience!!
