I was a 23 year old full time preschool teacher who just graduated from the University of Michigan. I had just been accepted into my graduate program when two months later I found out I was diagnosed with Brain Cancer. Due to brain surgery I was forced to take a month off from work for recovery. Being an independent, working and paying my way through undergrad and soon to be graduate school money was tight. Mission for Maureen was my Knight in Shining Armour, my angel watching over me and the little help I needed to get ahead. I will forever be grateful to this organization for the help that they were able to give to me and many others.
