One poverty-stricken second grader was wandering the streets in India, maltreated by strangers; he was taken in by the Salesian Children's Center. That student now receives reading instruction, has friends and regular meals. As he grows, he'll receive job training in the same center. In a culture that considers poverty one's fate, the Salesians spread the Christian message of loving the poor!
