I am a Marine mom who had the good fortune to meet Brett D'Alessandro through his friendship with my son. Brett is a remarkable young man in many ways. He proved to be a true brother to my son over the years by his genuine concern and care for the well-being of others. Therefore, upon their return from deployment, I was not surprised to learn of Brett's tremendous efforts to launch and succeed with Backpacks for Life. This is a wonderful and meaningful organization for our homeless veterans to provide them with life essentials and future resources. Most importantly, it gives HOPE in place of hopelessness.
