I made a monthly recurring donation of $50 after seeing some of the very emotional Hope for Paws videos. I became suspicious when I never received any acknowledgment of my donation though they are a 501(c) charity. I started to do some research and was left with very troubling questions, particularly about what happens to the dogs they rescue and the money they generate. Two months ago I tried to stop my monthly donation. Paypal said I had to contact them directly. I called several times and emailed (as directed by their voicemail). No one ever called back or responded by email. I was about to close my paypal account when they (paypal) finally stopped the donation. I contacted Hope for Paws and wrote I wanted that last $50 refunded since, for two months, I had tried to cancel the donation. Finally got an email saying there was nothing they could do about it.

All this has left me with a very bitter taste in my mouth and the belief this group uses the dogs to profit personally while hiding their income from the IRS. Give to your local rescue organization. I really believe they are crooks.
