Review for Au Sable Institute, Grand Rapids, MI, USA

Rating: 4 stars

Before AuSable I did not know how I was going to fit my environmental biology degree and my passion for teaching about the natural world into a career. Working with the staff and hearing about AuSable alumni provided me with potential pathways. My environmental education internship with Patricia was the keystone that the rest of my working life has been build upon. The knowledge and skills that I gained during those 10 weeks provided me with the experience I needed to aquire my first job. Today, I still use the tools and even some of the lesson plans exactly. Thank you AuSable!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Consistent feed back from AuSable through newsletters and emails about the organization as a whole and the alumni.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

passionate and willing to provide guidance to all students.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

provide educational experiences to more students in a wider variety of places on the planet.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

Review for Kansas Association for Conservation and Environmental Education, Manhattan, KS, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I started working with KACEE over 8 years ago when I began my environmental education career. The KACEE staff and organizational members came alongside me and encouraged me to get involved and take on leadership roles. I have grown as an educator, a professional, an earth-conscience human through my KACEE experiences.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

creating a community of Water Festival coordinators that support and share with eachother to make environmental education fun, assessible, and highly regarded.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

generous, knowledgeable, creative, easy to work with, and lots of fun.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

create a high quality, comprehensive, interactive environmental education program that provides services to all Kansans.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every week
