Review for Kansas Association for Conservation and Environmental Education, Manhattan, KS, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I've been recycling for over 15 years. I work for the Kansas Forest Service and thru them have learned and promote the importance of planting trees to provide oxygen and cleaner air. I've been able to teach my grandchild, children and relatives the importance of recycling for the future of Mother Nature

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

learning different aspects of conservation. How to help promote conservation and recycling.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The effort KACEE membership puts towards the conservation and education to school groups. KACEE provides workshops for students, teachers, conservation districts, so they can learn how to promote conservation in their area of expertise.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

fantastic. Very friendly, knowledgeable and wanting to learn and get the most of out the conservation eduction for the protection of Kansas.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Really provide the needed workshops to training individuals; have more staff to cover the state, provide assistance to volunteers to help cover their expenses. Get more schools and individuals involved in conservation.

Ways to make it better...

My experience has been great. I've enjoyed learning and helping out KACEE for the past 20+ years

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Financial. Budget cuts have caused some of the reliable funding to be cut. KACEE needs sponsors to help support the financial aspects of promoting water needs, Project Learning Tree, Outdoor wildlife learning sites

One thing I'd also say is that...

KACEE promotes conservation and environmental education throughout the state of Kansas and they are becoming more known and requested. Funding is needed to help support the training KACEE provides.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every week

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
