Review for Reef Ball Foundation Inc, Athens, GA, USA
I worked on two projects with the Reef Ball Foundation. On both, I worked with an international team of dedicated, hardworking and knowledgeable volunteers who relocated imperiled coral to a safe location on artificial reefs designed and deployed by the Reef Ball Foundation. The coral came into harms way both through natural (hurricane)and the actions of man (dredging). The rescued coral, some of which was hundreds of years old judging by the size, thrives today. Continue with the construction of artificial reefs, research new methods of coral propagation and develop innovative planting systems, estuary restoration, red mangrove plantings, oyster reef restoration, erosion control.
