Review for The Nature Generation, Hillsboro, VA, USA
NMF has been an integral part of our school for over 6 years. NMF staff has brought people, equipment, ideas, and programs to our school. These programs have given students in our environmental studies classes and our graphic design classes many opportunities to develop environmental friendly programs in the school as well as in the community. Our students have one awards and recognition for the work they have done in relation to NMF and the opportunities the foundation has brought to students in our school. For example, NMF sponsored a poster competition among our students for The Rachel Carson Centennial and our 3 students' posters were featured on capitol hill. The EnGaugeIt program mentioned in one of the other reviews is an ongoing project that will be sustained by future students in our school and in our community. NMF has sponsored the development of a nature trail that serves as one of our outdoor classrooms for our environmental studies programs. NMF was instrumental in helping to forge the relationships that lead to the land through which the trail winds being donated for the purpose of the nature trail. NMF has become an integral part of our school and community, always puts the environment and students first, and has been integral in developing the vision of environmental stewardship in our community.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
ways that are sustaining in our young people and in our community.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
consult the organizaiton first - they know what they are doing.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
its staff's dedication to students, learning, and environmental stewardship.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
some of the most gracious and professional people I have met.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
expand in breadth and depth all that it does now!
Ways to make it better...
I had more time to work directly with the foundation.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
continuing to build toward the stewardship vision with limited funding.
One thing I'd also say is that...
in my professional career, NMF staff have been among the absolute best people to work with.
