Carefree
Review for National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, Box Elder, SD, USA
I was diagnosed with PNETS, pancreatic cancer November of 2012 in an emergency room after becoming jaundice. I was immediately sent to palliative care and the insinuation was I had but days to live. My head was spinning. Other than being jaundice I felt fine. What a rollercoaster it has been. One of the best physicians and oncological surgeons right in my own backyard performed a 13 hour Whipple procedure and saved my life. Cancer has since metastasized but due to different combinations of chemotherapy I have had a. wonderful quality of life for over 3 .years. I recently moved to New Hampshire and am planning activities galore. NPCF has provided fantastic information and inspiration and emergency funding when times were most difficult. NPCF is a part of the quality of life my Doctors promised in the beginning. Thank you
