The Good People Fund, inspired and led by some really, really good people, was among the first to believe in our mission at Kaima – that being to apply agricultural activities to re-connect to Israeli youth who have dropped out of school, society, and their families and provide them with a sense of personal purpose and social value. The GPF really ‘got’ what we were trying to accomplish, when our ideas were merely dreams. Later, as we began to gain traction and expand, thanks in large measure to their involvement, they remained by our side, helping with funding, guidance, and encouragement. GPF’s giving model is unique within the grant-making community. They care, they are there over time – as full partners in our social change making endeavor. The relationship, nearly three years old, is one that we believe will last a lifetime. Every person needs two things in this world: a compass to guide them, and an anchor to provide them with security. Naomi, her board and colleagues have offered us both!
