Having personally experienced the ongoing healing power of relationships with equines I am aware of the great therapeutic effect they have on the Veterans and others served by this great organization. The professionals, as well as all the equines, of Spring Reins of Life are very dedicated to those that have so dedicated themselves to the service of our Great Nation as well as all the others that also participate.

I am retired and started volunteering at Mylestone in 2008. I now work there two mornings a week. Everyone involved with Mylestone from the Board of Directors, Staff, Volunteers, and donors are very dedicated to the well being of the horses (and goat) in their care. Susankelly works tirelessly to place neglected, unwanted, and abused horses. I am so privileged to be a small part of their mission.

I've recently started to volunteer at Spring Reigns of Life and have found it to be a wonderful organization doing brilliant work helping those that have served this great Nation in the most selfless way possible. I have personally benefited from the therapeutic nature of horses and know first hand the quality of life improvement that nature offers. Spring Reigns of Life has embraced and brought this magic to their clients.

I’ve been volunteering at Mylestone Equine Rescue for a little under ten years. I have never met people more dedicated to horses, especially those in great need, then the board, director, staff, and volunteers of this rescue. I work with-in the horse world taking care of horses from show horses to pasture mates and I’ve rarely witnessed such compassion for, and dedication to horses as I have for the horses of Mylestone nor have I seen horses more grateful for their circumstances. I’ve seen horses blossom from dire circumstances whilst in the care of the rescue, I’ve witnessed horses once again giving their trust to a human being and all this is due to Mylestone. Our world is a better place because of Mylestone Equine Rescue and I am so privileged and honored to be just a small part of their mission.

It was volunteering at Mylestone Equine Rescue the led to my discovering a deeply held passion for horses with-in myself. A passion that has led me to many different experiences, not only with the brilliant horses in Mylestone's care, but as well with other herds and barns. I dedicated the necessary time to become an accomplished ground handler as well as a Certified Equine Sports Massage Therapist as a result of my experiences with the rescue. I cannot imagine my life with out horses. Mylestone Equine Rescue truly makes a difference in the horses' lives with-in their care. They are an oasis in a world that often times fails to show compassion to the brilliant equine souls that bless our planet.
