We have had the privilege of having Save the Whales visit us for over ten years in a row now. They bring us an amazing presentation about whales including demonstrations of their enormous size, recordings of the sounds they make, and specimens of baleen and whale food. Kids are fascinated by the material and love the activities such as trying to catch "food" with baleen vs. teeth. So impressed to have such a rich experience, we often ask them to come and teach us about otters as well. Raising awareness of how to care for our ocean and its inhabitants is weaved into each presentation.
