Wounded Warrior Project has helped me in many ways. My first outing was Soldier Ride NC. Their staff showed my that even with a spinal injury i can still get out and ride a bike. The information i received at SRNC has proven invaluable. My second and third outings were deep sea fishing trips. For me fishing is an ultimate therapy because nothing matters but that fish on the line.. on the second fishing trip there was an open spot when we went to leave the dock, and even though it was an alumni only event, the staff allowed my eight year old son to join us. We all had a blast, and my son and i got some time to bond and have fun together. In Dec 2015 they sent my whole family and my mother in law to see Disney on Ice for my daughters 5th birthday. I have never seen a bigger smile on my little girls face. They call periodically to check in on myself amd my wife and kids to make sure everything is going ok. If we have any event requests we forward them on amd they do their best to get is to them. WWP has helped us grow as a family, the extensive reach of their ability and willingness to help is unbelievable. If it weren't for WWP and their help amd activities, i would most likely be homeless, hungry and divorced. THANK YOU WWP FOR EVERYTHING YOU HAVE DONE FOR MY FAMILY
