I have volunteered with Lisa and Kurt on three different occasions. I am unable to return at the present time, but make sure that I support them with donations. I cannot express how truly heart warming it was to be with two people who devote their lives to the loving care of these beautiful animals. I will never forget my volunteer experiences with them, and hope that life finds me able to return. Please, if you can donate or volunteer, do not hesitate to do so! Your life will be better for it!

I just returned from volunteering at Forest Animal Rescue with Lisa and Kurt. I cannot emphasize enough the loving care and dedication I witnessed once again.
I had previously volunteered at their old location and came away knowing that once is not enough, and now plan to return a third time. Volunteering at FAR is a life changing experience. No setback deters Kurt and Lisa, and they always put the animals first. Looking into the faces of the animals in their care, one sees gratitude, contentment, and the happy lives that they so deserve.
Their commitment to lifetime care to these beautiful animals deserves recognition, as they truly are one of the "GreatNonprofits". They truly make a difference!
I highly recommend volunteering or donating to FAR. It can be a life changing experience for you too!
