Review for Conservation Legacy, Durango, CO, USA
My experience with SCC started over two years ago when I volunteered for the Education and Outreach program. Over the course of that year I worked in several communities in Southwest Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico as a crew member, youth mentor and a crew leader. The main focus of the work is always toward positive youth development through the vehicle of contracts with land management agencies. The following year I moved in to a staff position but the focus of my work remained the same. SCC is a great non-profit for several reasons, but I would consider their greatest strength lying in the personal touch that each person brings with them. The staff have always gone above and beyond in regard to their commitment to improving other peoples lives.
