sadly, one review on this site makes inaccurate allegations that are not supported by the facts.

piperslegacy.org contains much of the media coverage as well as the court documents and many more links. this case is now before the Franklin County Municipal Court of Appeals - filed by COSR/Sanderbeck when ordered by the Judge to return Piper to her owner.

The rescue is wasting time, money and good will toward all rescues by trying to raise the cost of this lawsuit to such heights that no other owner will ever attempt to recover a dog wrongfully taken.

A few last points: Piper was NEVER scheduled for Euthanasia - EVER. She was microchipped to the owners and when Franklin County Animal Control called that number after 4pm on Good Friday, Easter Weekend, the Shelter was told the Vet's office would obtain the owner's contact information and call them back. One hour and a few minutes after opening on Easter Monday - after the holiday weekend when the Veterinary office was closed - a volunteer for the shelter who ALSO was a volunteer for COSR spirited the identified, microchipped dog out of the Shelter and attempted to hide her from her actual legal owner.

Go read the Legal Filings. Go read the articles. Then, decide whether the rescue that took piper is a rogue rescue or a legitimate one trying to "help" animals.

Furthermore, go to the Facebook Page, Bring Piper Home, and look at the condition of Piper when she finally was returned to her owner. The champion show dog was in deplorable condition and seriously in need of rescuing - from COSR/Sanderbeck!
