Review for Shadow Cats Rescue, Round Rock, TX, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have only been volunteering with Schadow Cats Rescue for a few months, but I sensed right away that the Sanctuary is a magical place. To put it simply, the cats there are allowed to be, well...cats. There is room to jump and play, spaces to hide (and of course, nap), and there are always other warm, furry bodies to snuggle up with. A very dedicated volunteer staff (everyone knows cats have staff...)feeds them, does their laundry, passes out treats, dangles feathers about and gives excellent mani/pedis. The cats even have their very own physician, who is happy to make house calls. One of the best things about Shadow Cats (for me), is knowing that after I've spent a few hours with them I don't feel the overwhelming urge to stuff four or five of them in my oversized purse when I leave, because I know they are happy, content and very safe right where they are. I believe the Sanctuary cats know that they have been given a second (or third, who's counting?) chance at a good life, and they show us how grateful they are by just trusting us and allowing us into their world. Shadow Cats is an incredible organization and I'm so proud to be a part of it. SCR gives hope to cats and to the people who love them.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

spending time with the kitties.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

very dedicated and kind.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

provide the much-needed medical care to feral cats in need, as well as provide them with a safe habitat in which to live.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every week

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
