As the parent of a autistic on the spectrum, I found the Autism Society of Ohio to be very unhelpful with helping to get information and referral services they talked about that could help our situation. Many of the services were ultimately dead ends and wastes of time, but nothing that could provide realistic means of getting support or services desperately needed. Emails go unanswered and phone calls unreturned, very disappointing. The phone support line often gave very different answers depending on who you talked to. I would not donate to this charity knowing what I know now.
