Review for Ecology Center Inc, Ann Arbor, MI, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I've worked withe Ecology Center staff for years on a myriad of environmental and public health issues. Each professional is talented, dedicated, tireless, persuasive, personable and perceptive. From protecting children from toxics to working to make cars cleaner and less damaging to the environment, the Ecology Center had led the way in making the world a better place.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

countless efforts, including working to reduce toxics in the environment, make cars cleaner, advocate for greener technologies, compel state officials to protect public and environmental health and educate the public on conservation/environmental issues.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

expand the staff and increase the organization's ability to leave its mark on environmental and public health protection.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

working with the different professionals.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

stellar. The people I've met are talented, dedicated and truly selfless. They give a new, positive meaning to the word "team."

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

replicate itself in other areas of the state, extending its reach and allowing it to leave its mark on additional communities.

Ways to make it better...

I lived closer to Ann Arbor.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

fundraising in a depressed economy and maintaining its top-notch programming. The economic climate forces some donors and contributors to prioritize other needs above those met by the Ecology Center.

One thing I'd also say is that...

the center's director, Mike Garfield, is a competent, likable professional. The center is in good hands under his leadership.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every six months

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
