Review for Sempervirens Fund, San Jose, CA, USA
I have lived on the San Francisco Peninsula for over 80 years and seen the open spaces along the Bay be filled up with development. But as a child I remember the thrill of driving less than 20 miles over the Coast Range Mountains and being able to see and walk among giant Redwoods. Today this is still an available thrill and in fact even more Redwoods are protected today than then. The protection and access to these magnificent trees is due more to the work of Sempervirens than any other organization. That is why I serve on its Advisory Board and have been a substantial financial contributor for over 30 years. Their past success has not slowed their efforts and present goals of this great organization will result in the largest protected mountain forest near to a large urban area in the nation.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
take advantage of all opportunities to add protection to forests in a more timely way with out always waiting for funding commitments.
