Review for Dfw Pug Rescue Club Inc, Grapevine, TX, USA
I have been a volunteer for DFW Pug Rescue for over 5 years. This is one of the most dedicated groups I have ever had the pleasure to be affiliated with. They put the pugs first and they never decline to take a pug! I was going to say they never decline to take a pug because of their age or medical condition; but quite frankly, the truth is they do not decline. When they got full during the downturn of the economy and were so slammed, they put the owner surrender pugs on a waiting list; but most came in within 2 months of being asked. All shelter pugs came right in! I have seen the financial reports. Very, very little money goes to administration of the rescue. This is possible because there is no paid staff. In addition to volunteering, I have also adopted several pugs from them. I was given full access to their medical records and any information I wanted before choosing to adopt. More experienced volunteers were able to answer any questions I had. This is a very supportive group. They do a whole lot for the pugs often with very little at times, and they do it well. I am proud to be a part of this fantastic organization as a volunteer.
