I first visited the Sanctuary in 2005. I knew I wanted to be a part of their family immediately. You can tell the amount of work and love goes into rescuing these large carnivores. Then trying to let them be comfortable and as wild as one can be when born in captivity. The mission here is to save every animal possible from a tragic ending. The change the laws to protect the wildlife takes a lot of work.
After getting my car and finishing my degree, I'm now a volunteer. I get to spend my weekends cleaning, feeding or educating. I can tell you first hand, this place as close to heaven as these beautiful creatures can get!
