Review for The Wild Animal Sanctuary, Keenesburg, CO, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have been volunteering, primarily as an onsite educator, at The Wild Animal Sanctuary for almost two years. I was a visitor for about 5 years previously. Working with this organization is by far the best thing I have ever done in my life. The Wild Animal Sanctuary rescues large carnivores who in their previous lives were abused, or neglected, and who would have most certainly met an early and unpleasant death if they had not been rescued and brought to TWAS to live out the rest of their lives living healthily and happily in large acreage habitats. The Wild Animal Sanctuary also pursues a mission of educating guests about the captive wildlife crisis that abounds in the U.S. and many other countries in the world. If you are an animal lover, you must come and see this magical place for yourself. Words cannot adequately describe it. It is a place of peace for animals and for people. It is a place to educate yourself and your children about animals and their place in this world. It will change your life for the better.

Review for The Wild Animal Sanctuary, Keenesburg, CO, USA

Rating: 5 stars

The Wild Animal Sanctuary is one of my top two "causes". Pat Craig, his dedicated sons and his staff - both paid and unpaid are true angels, providing happy, healthy, safe sanctuary for large carnivores that have previously been abused. We tell all our friends and family about the Wile Animal Sanctuary and we try to visit 3-4 times a year. If you have not experienced it yet, please visit soon. They also have a wonderful website, complete with videos of their rescues.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

saving captive wildlife

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Give them a larger budget so that they can concentrate on their rescues and not have to worry about the future

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Getting to see the happiness of the rescued animals in their nature-like accommodations and getting to know Pat Craig

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Extremely dedicated

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Rescue many more animals

Ways to make it better...
