Review for Ashtabula County Animal Protective League, Ashtabula, OH, USA
I have not had good experiences with this place. First off I feel so sorry for the animals in there, you walk in that place and it smells so bad, it takes your breath away. You leave with the smell stuck to your clothes and hair! All the animals have that Kennel Cough and mucus in their eyes....poor things! They spread it one to another and most times you go in there they are all standing around just talking to each other.
They make up their own rules as they go along........if they sense they dont like you they find a way to not adopt out to you. I know some who have lost their very own dogs and go there and they wont give them back their own dogs! They will not adopt out if you have no vet. If you have not had a dog before , how are you suppose to have a vet? They are rude and they treat people bad.
If they are questioned about any of the process their answer is "come to one of our board meetings". Years ago the place was cleaner and people were friendly....not anymore.
There needs to be clean sweep of the people "in charge" there because things are just not right there. Who suffers for all of this......THE ANIMALS do!! Some of those sweet dogs and cats could be in loving homes but instead sit in a cage in a place that stinks to high heaven for years.
