Review for Buffalo Field Campaign, West Yellowstone, MT, USA
I can only imagine the hardships these good people endure each winter during the freezing weather to protect our last remaining herd of free roaming American Bison. The dedication to this great historically significant herd is amazing. I wish I could give more than I do and just hope others will learn about their personal sacrifices on all American's behalf and for the Buffalo of Yellowstone. Not enough good words in my vocabulary!

I keep updated weekly by the staff and know through their communications the good AND the bad. Unfortunately they are facing a lot more "bad" this year.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
ADD MORE DONORS!!!!
Review for Buffalo Field Campaign, West Yellowstone, MT, USA
I can't begin to tell you how these men and women do what they do, but it's amazing that they haven't lost fingers and toes in the bitter Montana winter. Operating every year on a shoestring budget, living in a cabin heated by a wood stove, putting themselves on the front to keep these last remaining free roaming American Bison from being exterminated. I feel every American should know that these great symbols of our country are slowly losing their battle to the Department of Livestock and the ranchers in Montana, who would like to see them exterminated. Please go to their website and make a donation to help keep these wonderful beasts from becoming extinct. What a shame it would be!

By seeing the slaughter reduced each year directly from their concerted efforts to document the hazing and abuse in the deep snow and bitter cold of Yellowstone, to see the legal challenges they have fought and the petitions to the DOI and Washington that have resulted in progress.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I would only find a way to get more volunteers and spread the word even further than it's been due to limited funds.
Review for The Wild Animal Sanctuary, Keenesburg, CO, USA
I have been a donor for 7 years. Having first started by collecting printer cartridges from large corporations and exchanging them for cash for donations, now a monthly donor. I visited the first time before it was open to the public and I've never been more impressed with the care of animals or dedication of staff. This is my favorite rescue operation and has inspired me to open a small animal rescue when I retire. This is the most amazing place you will ever see. If you have the chance to visit, you must. But if you never get here, be assured it does even MORE than it says it does. It couldn't all be covered in a single monthly/quarterly newsletter. AMAZING WORK!!

The Spring of 2003 and was so impressed by the hard work and love for these animals.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
NOT make changes!
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
Seeing the progress of the animals that they rescue.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Outstanding and dedicated.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
buy more land, to save more abused wildlife.
Ways to make it better...
It couldn't have been better. They have always responded to any inquiry and appreciate every penny that is donated.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
the downturn in the economy has certainly hurt all rescue operations at a time when the need is even greater. Meeting the increased need with funding difficult to attain.
One thing I'd also say is that...
THANK YOU PAT, FAMILY and STAFF for your amazing work!!!
