THE PET PROJECT FOR PETS Saved my life had I not gotten a care dog when I did I would not be here today !
They gave me the opportunity since I could barely afford to feed myself well enough a Dog!! Because i was Diagnosed with AIDS and Kaposi;s Sarcoma stage 4 Cancer systemic that covered 98% of my body in July of 2008, Not only scared externally and Mentally as well my Doctors and Therapist both said I needed to adopted a care Dog.. just after being on Aggressive Chemotherapy and Radiation for a year and in total seclusion which turned me into pretty much a Hermit. that would not leave the house just to Doctors and home ,
When got him "Lucky" he in turn gave me something to live for something alive that relied on me ! you see this nonprofit The pet Project for pets is Powerful not only do they help keep a dog alive, but they keep Humans alive as well,
I found this amazing Shih Tzu named "Lucky" very appropriately, He brought life back to the lifeless and broken me.
Without THE PET PROJECT FOR PETS and Sue Martino I would not be typing this today !! nor doing what I do today, and that's Advocate for people with HIV and AIDS I sit on the Planning Council and almost all Committees at (HIVPC) yes* We gather Information about what people living with HIV/AID needs,
*To decide how much Money should be spent for HIV/AIDS related services,
* To evaluate whether or not these services are meeting the needs of the people living with HIV/AIDS ..And we always could use more volunteers from the Community, I also hold a seat on (SFAN ) South Florida AIDS network and that is very helpful you meet everyone from all parts of the HIV/AIDS world, and yes while I only live on Disability and take 41 Meds a day to stay alive!! I could not be happier doing something that helps others, So to Sue Martino and her crew and Jerry Schultz and his heart of Gold who he and his crew at Mona's in july just raised $14,00.00 dollars for the pet project and many other. I say Thank you from Bottom of my heart !!
