Review for Feathered Friends Forever Rescue/Sanctuary Inc., Harlem, GA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

My girlfriend and I went there to take her two cockatiels that she could no longer keep recently and were so impressed with the facility and staff. It was hard knowing what to expect at first but the operators and volunteers are so committed to and love the animals in their care. They had so many personal stories about the birds there, and there are literally hundreds, each with its own name and they know them all. What a wonderful and attentive environment. The birds are received and kept in observation for acclimation and then slowly transitioned to the various indoor or outdoor aviaries based on the owner or caretakers wishes. They maintain a policy of respect for the birds in their care giving them the level of attention they need based on information and history. I can't say enough and absolutely saw no negative aspects to this organization. My girlfriend and I plan to go there as often as possible to volunteer, its just that wonderful.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The time they took to detail the operation by giving an unrestricted tour of the facility with access to the birds and the history behind many of the residents there.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Like to see it have more consistent funding

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The personable and caring nature of the staff

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Very committed and loved what they were doing

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Build and maintain larger aviaries to serve and provide habitat for many unwanted exotic birds

Ways to make it better...

I don't think it could have been better than awesome

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Funding
