Review for WiLDCOAST, Imperial Beach, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

An extremely talented young staff with passionate leadership results in an extremely effective NPO. WC has chosen to take on issues and challenges that others ignore.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

preserving undeveloped/wild coastal areas in Baja, involving the community in local park issues, coordination of bi national support/education re: clean water issues, representing the minority opionion in the Marine Protected Area debate.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

put more effort into marketing

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

working w the staff. Knowing that they will be the leaders in resource protection.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

well intentioned, passionate and knowledgeble.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Preserve and protect the largest streath of wild coast in the eastern pacific...the central Baja coast/watersheds!

Ways to make it better...

more people knew of their work

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

keeping up with the challenges and limiting their scope of involement to what they can handle.

One thing I'd also say is that...

This small, but highly effective NPO is the result of one persons committment to "doing all that I can do". Serge Dedina should be proud knowing that what he has started will continue even if he moves on to other challenges.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every week

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2010

Role:  Volunteer & I have volunteered for cleanups and promotions. I now sit on the board and advise staff.
