My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for Animal Coalition of Delaware County, Newtown Square, PA, USA
My husband and I adopted two wonderful kitties from the ACDC, George and Henry. I loved how informational the descriptions were on their website of each cat, as well as the different pictures and videos. It really helped me get to “know” them before actually meeting them. It was love at first site. We adopted our boys separately but they, along with their brother Jake, get along wonderfully. I was very impressed with their screening process, to ensure that each cat was going into a safe, healthy, and loving forever home. I really appreciated everyone’s openness and patience – I had a lot of questions, because I wanted to make sure we were making the right choice. There was never any pressure to adopt, and everyone just bends over backwards to make your adoption as easy as possible. Both boys transitioned into our home very easily – they were each out of the “temporary room” in less than 24 hours! It just shows how well they were treated by ACDC until we found them. Without the ACDC, our precious boys would still be on the city streets. I am so thankful for their tireless efforts!!!

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
recruit more volunteers, foster parents, and donors. This is such a wonderful organization and they would be able to do even MORE good with additional resources!
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
I have really appreciated the opportunities to speak with different foster parents about different cats we were interested in adopting. They are very honest and genuine. And they love and care for each pet as if it were their own.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
wonderful! As a two-time adopter, the volunteers I have met are very friendly, caring, and patient. I am impressed with the amount of time they take to ensure each pet is going into a safe, healthy, and loving forever-home.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Rescue even more animals that are abandoned and abused in the Philly area!
Ways to make it better...
I can't think of anything that would have made my experiences better, truly!
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
money and resources. Foster homes are few, and I'm sure donations are down due to the economy. If I didn't have to work I would volunteer so much more of my time to this organization!!!
