Review for Ellicott Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, Colorado Springs, CO, USA

Rating: 5 stars

EWRC is staffed by two of the kindest people I have ever met, Donna and Phil. They have a success rate with injured animals that surpasses the standard. I have seen them work with all types of animals from foxes to hawks. They give of themselves and their home. The lower level of their home acts as a dispensary, surgery, feeding station, and nursery. They work full-time jobs and take care of all the animals too. Please consider giving to their organization.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

EWRC has one of the best recovery rates for injured wildlife in Colorado.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I couldn't do the job that Donna and Phil do.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

I have had the honor of releasing animals back to the wild.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

The staff and volunteers are some of the hardest working people I have ever met.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Build a permanent education facility and triage center.

Ways to make it better...

I can't imagine a better experience.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Caring for wildlife is expensive; it's a full-time job with no constant stream of financial support.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I have enjoyed every minute of my working with the EWRC.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

Role:  Volunteer & I help with transporting injured animals and have helped build and maintain cages at the center.
