Review for HVAF Of Indiana Inc, Indianapolis, IN, USA

Rating: 5 stars

More than 900 veterans are homeless on any given night in Indianapolis, Ind. HVAF of Indiana, Inc. is there to help by assisting veterans daily in providing housing and essential services while promoting self-sufficiency. In the process, clients leave HVAF stronger, more confident, ready and able to achieve individual goals. HVAF serves the community and makes a difference in the life of those who defended our country.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Success stories are not hard to find at HVAF of Indiana, Inc. When a veteran comes in he or she may have been living on the streets or under a bridge but with HVAF's help a veteran now has shelter, food and clothing.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I would not make any changes.

Review for Common Hope, St. Paul, MN, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I recently worked as a short term volunteer with Common Hope in Guatemala. I became particularly interested in their mission and decided to help in construction. I also got the opportunity to work with children and help them build airplanes in San Miguel. I found the experience thoroughly rewarding and very enjoyable. During my time working with Common Hope I have been inspired by the efforts that are being made to improve lives and educate families. I have been proud to be able to contribute to such a hard working team. From my time in Guatemala I have gained knowledge, experience, new skills, many happy memories, and a number of great friends.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Seeing first hand what the organization does and how hard they work to change lives, one family at a time.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I do not see anything they could do differently.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Their hard work and wonderful mission and measurable goals.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Dedicated and courageous

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

... do so many amazing things, such as, build more homes, provide school supplies, and frankly the list goes on and on. If I had 10 million bucks I would give the funds to Common Hope because they do change lives.

Ways to make it better...

It was perfect.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

the economy and fewer donations. That's why donations and support is critical.

One thing I'd also say is that...

They do tremendous work.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
