Kids In Distressed Situations, Incorporated has been a true blessing to our food bank, and the over 116,000 children and families in need within our seventeen county service area in rural Appalachia. The products that we receive offer: educational opportunities through the books provided; clothing that these children and families would not otherwise be able to access or afford throughout the year--and is especially welcome at the beginning of the school year; and toys and entertainment items that provide gifts at Christmas or other opportunties to improve their environments. WE were also able to provide our local City Mission with toys and supplies to improve their resident children's play area. We are so grateful for this resource, and our children and families that receive the benefit of these items voice their appreciation every time we have items to provide
