I have been volunteering with TWP for about 7 months now and their are few organizations like it that can provide consistent, sustainable solutions to some of the greatest problems that plague not just our local community, but our global community. A great example of this was when the Haiti earthquake struck. TWP already had a relationship with a relief organization in Haiti named AMURT and they were able to quickly distribute much needed aid. But TWP's mission did not stop there. They also continue to provide their environmentally-friendly rocket stoves that will be of great use as the country of Haiti continues to rebuild. These stoves burn up to 70% cleaner than the open fire, substantially reduce deforestation, and provide a healthier environment for cooks and their families. What an amazing union of both a short-term and long-term solution for people in need!
