I first learned of the extraordinary work of the Fistula Foundation through the writings of Nicholas Kristof of the NY Times. Since then, every year, I make sure I am able to give to this great foundation. Ignorance, poverty, cruelty can cause the destruction of a young woman's body and spirit. The Fistula Foundation brings healing to them. I am so impressed by their programs that first heal the body and then continue on to connect these young women to education, acceptance and to a more promising future. These young women can become the greatest resource their home countries do not yet appreciate. The money I am able to give can do so much in in the service of this great mission.
