I learned about obstetrical fistula in the novel Cutting for Stone by Abraham Varghese. It was so disturbing that I felt compelled to help. I found the Fistula Foundation after searching for possible partners. I was most impressed with the percentage of donations that actually reach the field hospitals and clinics. I am proud of their work and will continue to support them.
