When our 3 year-old son first got diagnosed with Autism spectrum, our whole family is at loss. Most of our struggle begins with inability in communication and understanding with my son, which created often stressful situations. Once we got introduced into CHC, things changed. Firstly, they provided helpful post-diagnosis checklists for the family to navigate into necessary steps and nearby resources, and secondly, one-on-one parental training sessions. Their advice on insurance company led us to our current financially sustainable situation with our ABA provider, and their trainer is so experienced and patient to parents and our son. The word "magical" has to be used to describe the first encounter of our son with the trainer, who used a way of communication that drew instantaneous attention and interest of our son. Most of tricks we learned during the parental training are still benefiting our family life day-in and day-out.
In addition, CHC took a very proactive stance when approaching family with needs in all our interactions. Moreover, all the consulting and support they provide are free to all the family in need, which is truly remarkable. I personally can not express enough appreciation to this organization and its wonderful people working for CHC.
