Review for Ellicott Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, Colorado Springs, CO, USA
I will admit, I am biased! As the founder and president of EWRC, I will say that watching the organization grow from one room in a condo to currently one of the largest facilities in the State has been a rewarding experience. EWRC is an all-volunteer org and funded by no agency, relying on donations and small grants to provide services benefiting people, agencies, and critters throughout Colorado. In spite of challenges including the collapsed economy and limited resources, we continue to experience growth in all program areas. The committment of our volunteers and supporters makes the release of native wildlife back to nature happen. With help, we will continue serving the people of Colorado and helping to preserve one of our greatest natural resources, our wildlife.

Helping native migratory birds, mammals, and reptiles, and helping the people who care about them. Helping foster an appreciation and respect for all living creatures. Visiting schools, nature centers, etc. and the happy faces and excellent questions!

EWRC staff are the rehabbers, veterinarians and staff, wildlife transporters, youth groups and interns, retirees, homemakers, and of course, us working people! Very dedicated, hard-working, and caring group of volunteers!

Build the only facility of its kind in Colorado--a model facility in which to continue caring for wildlife in distress,provide a Learning and Visitor Center, a wildlife medical ward, and intern quarters.
