I am 63 and grew up in small rural schools where football was king and music barely existed. most kids had to rent their instruments. it touches me deeply to see these schools getting needed items for their programs. Keeping The Blues Alive is doing an excellent job of getting needed materials to schools in need. I have been a blues fan since I was little. I grew up in Mississippi listening to negro gospel out of ackerman in the morning and bluegrass in the evening. my "tataw" --granddaddy--played harmonica & banjo. love this organization. wish I could contribute more than I have.
