I have been a volunteer with the Unicorn Thrift Shop for more than ten years. I chose to volunteer here for two years when I retired from teaching an d was so impressed with the mission of EMQFamilies First that I am still actively working. EMQ has a dedicated staff that work with children and families in crises - they are helping so many children and their families getting their lives back together again. They have launched several other programs such as the autistic program where they are having amazing success. Another program that has been most effective is helping children who are in critical distress. The staff, the CEO, the managers at EMQ are always available to provide support so the volunteers are successful too in their retirement.
