Review for Humane Society Silicon Valley, Milpitas, CA, USA
I am a volunteer at HSSV. I have never seen an organization so committed to animal welfare. Our family has a personal experience to share. About 6 years ago we finally gave in to our 12 year old and agreed to adopt a pet. We went to HSSV and out of all the loving animals my daughter fell in love with a 9 year old mutt. She had her own story. She was at her third shelter and had not been considered adoptable by the other shelters because of her age. HSSV saved her from euthanasia by giving her a chance at their shelter. Our dog is now 15 years old and she has grown old with us. She walks slowly, sleeps most of the day, but she loves us with all her heart and we are glad that HSSV saved her for us.
