My granddaughter is in her third year at SOMACC. We are so very impressed with the teachers and program. She is safe, secure and oh so happy in this program. They provide a nonjudgmental environment to explore, learn and grow. She is so eager to learn and to share what she has learned with us so that we can also be knowledgeable. The teachers and program fosters critical thinking skills which is such an important tool for life long learning and exploration. They also help the children to identify their emotions and strategies for dealing with their various emotions. They celebrate each child's individuality and help the children to accept and work & play happily with their peers with diverse backgrounds. We wish every child could have these experiences! Thank you for all you do!

Our granddaughter is in the Butterfly class. We have been so impressed with the program. Anytime we have dropped by for a visit while in SF, the teachers have been warm and welcoming to us. We have observed the positive and enthusiastic interactions of the teachers with the students. They foster a loving, supportive atmosphere in which the children feel safe to explore, learn and blossom. They demonstrate their sound knowledge of child development as activities and interactions are age appropriate. The diversity of the class is such a positive feature of the school. In particular, we are grateful to receive the weekly blog. As out of state grandparents it helps to keep us connected and gives us great information we can use to prompt our granddaughter to tell us about her activities and friends during our FaceTime visits.
