I have become familiar with Washtenaw Camp Placement within the last few years. It is a organization that makes it possible for children (by way of donors) that would normally only hear or see about camping by way of story books or television. I have seen many children get the opportunity to enjoy camp for the first time come back after a week or two weeks depending on the camp, with a big smile and stories about their experience that they will remember for years to come. Many have some much fun and meet new friends that they ask when can they go back. I wish this was around when my children were camper age. Keep doing what is being done.
