I have adopted 2 dogs and 3 cats from Second Chance and have been a volunteer there for 5 years. I love the organization for the way they treat the animals - like the precious, innocent, lovable beings they are. At SCCA, the dogs all have large outdoor play areas and are frequently walked both onsite and off, giving them great socialization opportunities. The cats have a huge room with many play options, as well as an enclosed outdoor area that they have easy access for sunning and playing. All animals are given plenty of time to adjust to their environment before being allowed to roam with the others, and those who need extra time or special arrangements get it. I love the staff there, as well. They are very professional and caring. I am proud to be mom to my dogs Flipper and Polar, and my cats Shanti, Dillon, and Pixie (as well as the others who are not from SCCA, Princess the Chihuahua and RatCat the Maine Coon).
