Review for The Society for Ocean Sciences, Inc., Damascus, MD, USA

Rating: 5 stars

For a young nonprofit, The Society For Ocean Sciences has done amazing work. They have done educational programs for diverse groups of students - environmental science magnet programs, black high school and middle school students, and PreKindergartens. SOS has brought quality ocean science programs to the classroom as well as leading students on experiential education programs in the Chesapeake Bay Region as well as and upcoming class in the Bahamas. SOS is busy stimulating research in important areas affecting the ocean and working with graduate students on research that will make a difference. They are partnering with other organizations and colleges to meet the challenges of education and research. I am a proud volunteer and look forward to seeing the work that is yet to come from this great nonprofit.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

watching them work hard and have concrete results.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

being inspired by their dedication.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

incredible.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

successfully work on ocean research and education.
