I have been involved with Breakthrough Silicon Valley for 3 years as a volunteer. I have met many Breakthrough students and I've heard their stories. I love this organization because it not only provides them with the academic support to succeed in high school and the college application process., it also gives them skills and confidence to succeed in college. Many of these students have challenging "home" environments where not everyone around them places a high value on education, and many of them need help building a strong support system needed for success. Breakthrough has an outstanding and incredibly committed staff. It's been a privilege working with and contributing to this organization.
