My Nonprofit Reviews

I saw a flyer on my campus for One Heart Source and immediately started the application process that day. After being accepted and filling out all of my paperwork, I was finally able to arrive in country and meet the people I had been communicating with up until this point. Everyone was so loving and we all had common goals and aspirations holding us together as a family and a collective. We all made immediate connections that really helped us when it came to discussing the larger issues that we had come to South Africa to address.

Working in the school with the kids was absolutely amazing, and there is no other feeling like it (the main reason I am going back!) The support One Heart Source offers to the children and the community as a whole is unmatched by anything I have seen before. The connections we have with the locals and the experience and insight we gain by hearing stories from the people we met truly changed my life. One Heart Source helped me feel like a friend to the people of the community instead of a tourist, and this was something that was very important to me. Destroying the hierarchal themes so often present in nonprofits that I have worked with before, they truly work WITH the community and not FOR the community.

Every aspect of this nonprofit is so authentic and passionate. I cannot wait to go back with One Heart Source!
